Shop locally this Christmas in Hoffman Estates! – Chicagoland NW Suburban IL Real Estate & Community

We have the shopping mecca that is Schaumburg, with its world famous malls and shopping area, but here is an idea Christmas that is catching on across the nation – shop locally this Christmas!

Here in Hoffman Estates the Village is promoting the area by designating the weekend of Friday, Dec. 9, through Sunday, Dec. 11, as “Shop Hoffman for the Holidays!” where it is encouraging business during this weekend to highlight special promotions and sales. Locally businesses are encouraged to take advantage of the promotion to shop local as it is likely that there will be an increase in foot traffic throughout all shopping areas of Hoffman Estates.

This is great news for shoppers who live in and around Hoffman Estates – as it will be likely that you will be able to snap up a bargain! A list of participating businesses and their offers are available at www.visithoffman.com. This website will be continually updated as new offers are submitted.

Now for those areas that might have empty storefronts there is some good news as artwork is being featured in empty Hoffman Estates storefronts. Three shopping centers in the Village of Hoffman Estates — Fountain Crossing (Barrington Road and Lakewood Boulevard), Hoffman Plaza (east side of Roselle Road between Golf and Higgins roads) and Golf Center (west side of Roselle Road between Golf and Higgins roads) — are currently displaying artwork by student from high school districts 211 and 214. The art includes paintings, sculptures and photography – definitely a great way of promoting local art and making use of vacant space in shopping areas.

So there you have it – shop local in Hoffman Estates and enjoy the great community that we have here in the Northwest Suburbs!
